Is there anything better than a snow day here in the neighborhood? With schools closed and many people  (hopefully) home from work, people were either relaxing at home or headed to Carroll Park to build snowmen.
For me, the snow meant an opportunity to take photos of our lovely Carroll Gardens. Would could be better.
What are you up to today?

K-- nice pic and heads up about the Kitterie building at Smith & Union-- they NEVER shovel on either side of the street. I think it's same owner as the previous restaurant and the vintage store before it. THEY didn't shovel either and acted like, as biz owners, it wasn't their "responsibilty." Which is disgusting but I can see the passive aggressive side of it if their landlord has million dollar ++ building and is too lazy / cheap / scornful of the public to make sure those sidewalks are shoveled.

That corner being a block from the uptown F / G Carroll station makes it all the more egregious.

Note also-- and I'm sure you have-- very few of the owners of the empty storefronts on Smith St shovel either though credit due those who have.

Hopefully Dept of Sanitation lays some tickets on these people, hello 311?

These are so nice to see. I was stuck in an office all day. and YES the owners of Kittery AND Claudine NEVER SHOVEL and this morning I almost slipped and killed myself because of the frozen ice at that corner. Every time it snows but they shovel the back entrance but NEVER THE CORNER. I called 311. Its a James Mamry operation..

the kittery lot has always been problematic. filthy trash. no snow removal ever.
